Story of Myroslava, 6 years old

Myroslava's family lived in a village in the Chernihiv region. They lived a normal and happy life until a full-scale war broke out.

It became more and more dangerous to stay in their native village. Explosions were heard more and more often, mobile communication was lost, and shells flew right up to their yard. The family did not hesitate and evacuated to Chernihiv, which was 30 km away. They decided to go in two cars: six-year-old Myroslava with her parents and cousin was in one, and Myroslava's aunt with two children was in the other.

The road was hellish – their cars were under fire all the time. The first car, driven by Myroslava's father, pulled ahead. But near the Kolychivka village, the car turned into a bare frame. The exact reason is unknown: either a Russian shell hit the car, or it exploded on an anti-tank mine. The girl's parents died immediately.

Little Myroslava and her brother survived by a miracle, but they received numerous severe injuries. The girl got a burn of the conjunctiva, cornea, and a mild concussion.

After the girl lost the dearest people, her aunt became her guardian. Now, they live in Kyiv. The child's condition is severe, but her aunt is trying to do everything to ease the girl's pain of loss.
